Dear George,

I confess I had never heard of pickleball before moving to San Miguel. Now I hear about it every day as fans abound.

One of the owners at La Capilla, Rodrigo, has been enormously generous to St. Paul's in allowing us to establish our youth paddle ball twice weekly lessons at La Capilla. He has extended the same courtesy in allowing us to change from paddle ball to pickletball...an up and coming diversion with yet greater youth appeal.

The Tuesday and Thursday time has changed from 4pm to 5pm as it is a cooler part of the day and volunteer coaches may be more easily found. Should you have pickleball skill and interest in becoming a volunteer coach, contact Luis Canales or Padre Rangél.

La Capilla is one of the up and coming sports centers in San Miguel de Allende, and for Rodrigo to extend pro bono use of his in-demand courts makes the heart glad.

MEN'S LENTEN RETREAT

St. Paul’s will celebrate its third annual men’s retreat March 21-22, 2025 (Friday-Saturday), this year led by The Reverend Canon Francis N. Hebert on the theme of Celtic spirituality for today’s world, at Hacienda de Landeta, a short drive from the church. We will car pool. The cost of 2,280 pesos includes one night’s lodging and three meals. If interested, please provide your contact information on the sign-up sheet in the parish hall at coffee hour after the 10:15 service, or contact Ken Oehlkers at ken.oehlkers@gmail.com.

WOMEN'S SPIRITUALITY GROUP

Meetings are generally the first Saturday of each month at 10AM - 11:30 in the parish Church.

ST PAUL'S BEREAVEMENT GROUPS: Martha Hamill, thanatologist and bereavement counselor, leads groups in English and in Spanish. The pain of loss can be overwhelming, but there are healthy ways to cope and heal. The groups are free of charge.
