FREE YOUTH JOB SKILLS READINESS PROGRAM

Calling all teenagers from River Forest who are looking for a summer job. Learn how to format a clean professional resume and get one-on-one assistance and support with your job search! Sessions will cover job search techniques, mock interviews and some technical support. This is a free township program for Oak Park and River Forest.

NEW - WEEKLY CHESS FOR SENIORS

Interested in learning or playing chess with your fellow seniors? The Township is offering complimentary chess lessons and game playing at the River Forest Community Center (8020 Madison St) most Tuesdays at 3PM. This is in addition to weekly mahjong and Zumba and monthly pickleball also offered to seniors. Contact Senior Services to reserve your spot today.

NOTARY SERVICE FOR RIVER FOREST RESIDENTS

Did you know the Township offers complimentary notary services for River Forest Residents? Any document needing to be notarized must be signed in the presence of the notary. You will need to bring a valid State ID or Driver’s License with you. As our entire team is part-time, check ahead to ensure availability of one of the notaries. Contact your Township Clerk for availability.

1ST INSTALLMENT PROPERTY TAX BILLS DUE TODAY, MARCH 4

First installment property tax bills, payable in 2025, are posted to the Cook County Treasurer's Office Website with first installment payments due today, Tuesday, March 4th. REMEMBER: This is an estimated tax bill. Exemptions are only listed on the second installment property tax bill. Second installment tax bills are scheduled to be due approximately the first week of August.
