This year, the global community will mark the sixty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69). CSW69 will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York from 10 to 21 March 2025, with both virtual and in-person events.

Pathways To Peace (PTP) has been engaged in the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) since the adoption at the Fourth World Conference on Women in 1995 in Beijing, China, by 189 governments. Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (1995) The Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action remains the most progressive and widely endorsed blueprint for women’s and girls’ rights worldwide.

The CSW69 main focus will be on the review and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcomes of the 23rd special session of the General Assembly. The review will include the current challenges affecting the implementation of the Platform for Action and the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women and its contribution towards the full realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
