Happy Valentine’s and Presidents’ Day Weekend!
At yesterday’s open Parents’ Club meeting, we covered several key school-wide topics, including Course Registration and Master Scheduling for next year, Miramonte’s ongoing funding needs, and the upcoming district-wide Measure T Parcel Tax in May.
Thank you for taking the time to stay informed about these important items and for helping spread the word to friends and neighbors. Your involvement and support make it possible for us to offer the programs and opportunities our students benefit from every day.

One of the important topics discussed was Measure T- a crucial, local solution to address our schools' financial challenges, ensuring stable funding that stays in our district and directly supports Miramonte. To pass, it needs a two-thirds majority, so every vote counts! SAT Bootcamp
We are partnering with Tried & True to offer a 2-day SAT bootcamp for Miramonte students. While it is open to any family, it is designed to help juniors get ready for the March SAT. It will be held on February 22 and 23 from 2:00 - 6:00 PM in the College & Career Center. For more information, click here. Click here to register.
College and Career Snacks
Every student who graduates from Miramonte will experience an amazing resource in the College and Career Center. From college rep visits to workshops on essay writing and the application process, the CCC is an invaluable resource with an amazing staff. So whether your student is a senior or a first year, please consider purchasing items from this wishlist to fuel our students while they are meeting with our College and Career Counselors this semester. Your child will benefit in their senior year from the generosity of our parent community.

Valentine's Day can be a special opportunity to celebrate a romantic love, a special friendship, or a family member! This wonderful roundup of resources from Child Mind Institute shares some great insight on how to navigate sometimes challenging conversations with your teens about romantic relationships. Performers for Progress
Friday, February 21, 7:00 p.m.
MHS Theater
Performers for Progress has been a cherished tradition at Miramonte since 2006. This annual show, entirely created and produced by students, highlights the incredible talents of our students while supporting a meaningful cause. Each year, the show benefits a different charity, and this year, all proceeds will go to Tri Valley Haven, which provides shelter and resources to people who are homeless or suffering from domestic violence and has a food bank.
Join us for an evening of inspiring performances and support both our Miramonte performers and this outstanding organization!

Looking For a Videographer
We’re looking for a videographer to capture our musical performance on either April 18, 19, or 24. If you’re a videographer or know someone who is, please email Heather Cousins. Your help will ensure our students have a high-quality recording of their performance to cherish. A small stipend is available.

Local Parcel Tax Funding
AUHSD Governing Board recently approved a parcel tax measure on the May 6, 2025 special election ballot. For more information, please visit the district website
Next AUHSD Board Meeting
The next AUHSD Board Meeting is on Wednesday, February 19. The agenda will be posted here on Sunday, February 2. The meeting is held at the district office, with the public portion beginning at 7:00 p.m. You may also watch the live broadcast here.
The upcoming board meetings for 2025 are on the following Wednesdays: March 5, March 19, April 16, May 7, May 21, and June 4.
AUHSD Special Education Department
Is your AUHSD student ages 16-22 and on an IEP? Learn how Work Ability and Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) services can help them gain job skills, explore careers, and prepare for success after high school. This information session will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 6:00 -7:00 p.m. at the Del Valle Campus, Room 400, Walnut Creek.

Boys Team Charity
Boys Team Charity (BTC) Orinda League is accepting new members currently in grades 9-11! Boys Team Charity is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their communities. The annual High School Visual Arts Competition returns to the Art Gallery at the Orinda Library in March 2025! Interested students should save these important dates.
Sunday, January 5 - Registration Opens

Monday, March 4 - Friday, April 7 - Public Exhibit at the Library Gallery
Thursday, March 20 - Artist Reception & Award Presentation
This competition celebrates student artwork in four categories: 2D, 3D, Photography, and Digital Art. Submissions are open to high school students who live in or attend school in Orinda, Lafayette, Moraga, or any of the schools in the Acalanes Union High School District.
