November is National Adoption Month
Strengthening Pathways for Lasting Bonds
| |
National Adoption Month, with the theme Honoring Youth: Strengthening Pathways for Lasting Bonds, emphasizes the importance of building supportive, enduring connections for teens in foster care. Currently, over 1 in 5 children awaiting adoption are between the ages of 13 and 17, highlighting the urgent need for families willing to open their homes to older youth who may have limited time left in the foster system.
NOAS is committed to finding these teens stable, permanent families, along with the support, resources, and connections essential for their success. Throughout National Adoption Month, NOAS will raise awareness and educate the community on the unique needs of these youth, advocating for lifelong bonds that provide the love, security, and sense of belonging every child deserves.
The need for foster and adoptive families across Northeast Ohio is more crucial than ever. Begin your foster-to-adopt journey with NOAS and make a lasting difference in a child’s life. For more information, call 330-984-0873 or email smoreton@noas.com.

Why Give To NOAS
Straight from the mouths of John and Jacqueline Stanko, one of our recurring monthly donors
| |
1. Why did you choose to donate to NOAS?
As we were exploring ways to give back, we came across NOAS. At the time, we were preparing to start our own family, and we felt that helping children find loving homes and supporting families in their growth would be one of the most meaningful ways to make a difference in our community.
2. Why did you decide to make a recurring donation instead of a one-time donation?
We chose a recurring donation because we were confident that NOAS was a worthy cause, and we didn’t want to keep reevaluating our decision to contribute in the future. Once we determined that supporting NOAS was important to us, the monthly donation made it easy and seamless to continue our support. We also considered the many monthly subscriptions and charges we already commit to, and felt that helping NOAS was far more meaningful and valuable than most of them.
3. How does it feel to make this gift knowing how it makes a difference?
Making a positive impact on children and families in our community gives us a deep sense of pride and connection. We truly believe it’s one of the most important causes we can support locally.
