January 31, 2025
Greetings!
It is with a heavy heart that we watched the news unfold this week as a commercial plane and military helicopter collided. The loss of lives has touched all of us. We know of athletes and Fairfax County students and parents who were on that flight. We pray for the families who mourn. We pray for our communities that mourn. When called upon, may we be given the words that bring a sense of comfort and peace and the promises of our resurrected Lord.
Annual Meeting
A reminder that our annual meeting is next Sunday, February 9. The 2024 Annual Reports were distributed so please review them carefully. At the meeting, we will be making decisions about the capital campaign and more details will be made available regarding the pastoral transition.
We hope you can attend in person, but we will also have a Zoom option. Please sign up here if you need to attend remotely and then the link will be sent to you. Thank you!
Sunday, February 2 - Presentation of Our Lord - 8:30 am, 9:45 am, and 11 am
We will gather for worship on Sunday. Come and be with us as we hear God's Word and receive Holy Communion. This week the Scouts will join us at 9:45 am where their charter will be presented to us. We pray in thanksgiving for the partnership we have with the different troops that meet at our church.
Each week we depend on our worship leaders to help with the services. This week we need a reader at the 9:45 am service. We thank all those who volunteer each week!
