Serve the Austin Community

Serve at the Trinity Center, Sunday, March 23, 2-4 pm

As per usual, we gather in the Trinity Center at 2pm. Trinity Center is in the basement of St. David's Church downtown. I find it's easiest to park in the surface lot (8th and San Jacinto) or the parking garage (8th and Trinity, entrance on Trinity), enter St. David's from the door from the surface parking lot and make your way down the hallway, down the elevator to the basement. We will set up, cook, pray, serve, and spend time with our neighbors who daily face housing and food scarcity. Email Will Clark to let him know you are in!

Join the Neighbor to Neighbor service team!

Volunteers greet, visit with, and check-in neighbors, distribute food and diaper orders, and take bags of food to neighbor’s cars. It's meaningful . . . and it's fun! As one long-time team member stated, “Our Neighbors and our teams that prepare for and welcome them are a pleasure to be around. Relationships—many of them many years old—make the days we see each other times to look forward to. And I do!”

Shifts are from 3-5pm or from 5-7pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.

Serve the Immigrant Community

We are in great need of volunteers to help with our Power of Attorney workshops for parents facing possible deportation. The POA gives custody to a family member or friend for kids whose parents are suddenly taken from them. This unfortunately happens more than you would want to believe.

The volunteers help parents fill out the forms. It's easy work, and no experience needed. Our team works with you and provides guidance.

We have a series of these workshops in various Austin locations throughout March. Notaries are also needed. We have served 37 families this month through the help of volunteers.

Please help us pass the word to others who might be interested in this Gospel call.
