The Marshall Fire Department has issued a burn ban effective immediately until Tuesday, March 26 at 5:00 pm at which time fire officials will reevaluate the need for the ban. The ban is the result of high wind conditions and low relative humidity which increases the fire danger for our area.

City of Marshall residents with a current, valid burn permit issued prior to the burn ban may have days added to their permit once the ban has been lifted. To receive the additional days, residents will need to bring their burning permit to the Central Fire Station located at 601 S. Grove St.

Area residents are strongly urged to comply with the ban. Violators of the burn ban will be issued citations. For additional information or questions, please call the Fire Department at (903) 935-4580.
