The E-Center Connection
Supporting Your Business Journey | Updates, Events & Resources
| | Pizzelle Bakes celebrated its re-opening on Market Street. With the support of LDFC, the City of Lowell, and the E-Center, Shannon has been able to grow and adapt, bringing her vision of a Euro-centric, small-batch bakery to Lowell. | | Lazy Cat Lounge held its soft opening on Market Street with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Bringing a unique concept to downtown Lowell, the café offers visitors the chance to enjoy a cup of coffee alongside some feline companions. | | Through the TDI Lowell Acre Capacity Improvement Program, the E-Center worked with Tomo360 to launch two new websites for two incredible local businesses in the Acre neighborhood. | | Back in January, the E-Center team launched the Teen Entrepreneurship Idea Program in collaboration with Project Learn, UMass Lowell DifferenceMaker, YouthBuild, and GLTHS. The kick-off event, held at UMass Lowell’s Innovation Hub, gave students entering the program a dynamic introduction, setting the stage for what’s to come. | | | The launch day was filled with energy, especially for our students from GLTHS and YouthBuild, who eagerly jumped into hands-on activities that encouraged teamwork and sparked creative problem-solving. One of the highlights of the day was the robotics lab demo, where students got an up-close look at the impressive robot dog—a definite crowd favorite. | | | Now underway at Lowell High School (LHS), Greater Lowell Technical High School (GLTHS), and YouthBuild, this exciting program will guide students through the five core elements of the business rubric. It will finish in pitch competitions at each school, giving students the opportunity to present their ideas to their peers and families. | | Local small business owners are stepping into the classroom to share their journeys, offering insights and inspiration to our students as they embark on their own entrepreneurial paths. | |
