the Virgin Trial

The cast of the Virgin Trial is working with Vancouver’s Affair of Honor to bring this challenging script to life. Who knew shoves and arm bars could be so much fun? 

The production is well into rehearsal with the show running April 25 - May 11. The play then opens the Okanagan Zone Drama Festival on May 19. the Virgin Trial, by Kate Hennig, is directed by Elizabeth Ann Skelhorne.

Set in the Bristol Place Assisted Living Facility, this glorious and biting new comedy from David Lindsay-Abaire centers around Abby, who takes pride in her residence in one of the most coveted rooms in the rest home. Things turn sour quickly when she must take in Marilyn, a new roommate to share her precious space. This high-stakes comedy examines our expectations of what it means to grow old in twenty-first century North America, and what happens when a sense of possession collides with a mania of obsession.

Our highly successful, three-week Musical Theatre Camp is returning for the fifth straight year. This year’s performances will be of the popular Beetlejuice Jr. 

Kids aged 9-17 will spend three intensive weeks learning to sing, dance and act, culminating in four fully staged performances July 25-27, enjoyed by an enthusiastic public. Participants are expected to work hard and maintain a professional approach to their work. And they do! At the same time they have great fun and grow in the process.

Registration opens Sunday, April 6 at noon precisely. We expect the event to fill up very quickly. We will accept up to five juniors and five seniors onto the waiting list in case a spot opens up. There will be a link to the registration form on our website.
