Press Release: John Howard Society & the Fair Chance Hiring Toolkit | |

The John Howard Society, which is focused on the integration if justice involved individuals in society, has issued a press release regarding work they have done which has resulted in a Fair Chance Hiring Toolkit.
Several of our Canadian members, as well as a representative from PBSA, spoke with the JHS to advise them of what our industry does, the value of criminal record checks for risk mitigation, as well as responsible use of criminal record check results. It was a great experience to education them on our work and the importance of criminal records.
We were pleased to see that their approach was supportive of the proper use of criminal records and did not call for a ban on criminal checks as part of the employment process.
