Wellspring Counselor Report

The 8 schools participating in the Wellspring School-Based Counselor were able to meet via Zoom. Please take the time to review the St. Paul School-Based Counselor Report.


Use this School Therapist Referral Form if you are interested in having your student see the counselor. Elizabeth is in our building every other Monday. She will be at St. Paul on Monday, January 13 and 27, and Monday, February 10 and 24.

NWEA Winter Testing

Winter NWEA Testing will take place at St. Paul during the weeks of January 13-17, 2025, with absent students making up missed tests during the week of January 21-24. The school schedule is as follows:

Tuesday: Math

Wednesday: Reading

Thursday: Language Usage (Grades 3-8)


All testing will be conducted between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Please encourage your child to get a good night’s sleep and a quality breakfast before arriving at school. Adequate sleep and quality nutrition are great ways to improve focus and academic ability.

PTO Meeting - Wednesday, January 15

Parents, please join us! The PTO will meet on January 15 at 6:00 pm in the school cafeteria. Pizza and childcare are provided.


If you have not attended a PTO Meeting in the past, consider joining us! Meetings are a great opportunity for you to provide input on PTO-sponsored activities, vote on where funds are spent, and learn more about how to get involved with the school. 


Meetings include classroom updates, Treasurer reports, (old and new) business discussions – including possible fundraisers, fellowship events, and allocation of PTO funds. Each meeting, parents are entered to win a prize for their attendance. We hope to see you on Wednesday night!

Detroit Lions Special Dress Day

It has been an incredible season for the Detroit Lions. To show our enthusiasm and support St. Paul will enjoy a Detroit Lions Special Dress Day on Friday, January 17. Students are invited to wear school appropriate Detroit Lions apparel/accessories or can choose to wear Honolulu blue, silver, white, and black. Go Lions!

The teachers have an opportunity to receive ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experience) training by a certified teacher during the afternoon of Friday, February 21, for Professional Development. This opportunity is linked to our partnership with our School Counselor via Wellspring. 


Extended Care will be offered on Friday, February 21, starting at 11:30 am. Please mark your calendars and note this schedule change. A reminder will be sent again as the date approaches.

Wild Game Potluck & Silent Auction

All School Field Trip - Tuesday, January 28, 2025

St. Paul students in Young 5’s-8th grade have been invited to attend an AriSon Concert (pronounced like horizon) at Valley Lutheran High School on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in celebration of National Lutheran Schools Week. The St. Paul PTO is generously covering the cost to make this trip available to our students.

Permission Slips went home in today’s Friday Folders. Drivers are needed. Preference of drivers will be given to vehicles that can accommodate more students. Permission slips should be returned by Friday, January 17, to your student’s teacher. The Office will coordinate all drivers. You will be notified if you are a driver.

Amazing Grace Donations

The St. Paul 1st and 2nd grade class is adopting Amazing Grace Animal Rescue for Valentine's Day. The class is collecting items from the wish list to benefit the cats and dogs at the rescue. If you'd like to show some love to this great organization, contact Mrs. Dent or simply bring items to her classroom. Donations will be collected until Monday, February 10. Thank you!
