Food Handlers Certificate


Congratulations to the 130 students in Foods I classes who earned their Illinois Food Handler’s Certificates! This certification not only opens doors to job opportunities in the food industry but also equips students with essential food safety and hygiene skills. By gaining this knowledge, students are better prepared for future careers while promoting health and safety both in the workplace and at home.

Esports Tournament Wins!


RBHS Esports had an exciting weekend, with three students competing against Elgin, Barlett, and Larkin HS. Myles Marks competed in Super Smash and was in the top 20% with 9 wins. Jon Bucio had two second-place finishes in Madden and F.C. Aaron Acevedo had a first-place and second-place finish in F.C., bringing home a trophy for RBHS! Congratulations, Aaron, Myles, and Jon! 

Cheerleading @ UEC Conference Meet


RBHS Cheer competed in their first Upstate Eight Conference Meet on Wednesday at Bartlett High School. The Varsity team placed 4th and the JV team placed 6th. Great job!

Poms Visit with Loyola Dance Team


The RB JV and Varsity Poms team attended a Loyola University Men's Basketball game as a program outing, where they met the Ramblerettes, the members of Loyola's dance team. They participated in a Q&A session with the team and watched them perform during halftime!

December Athletes of the Month


Congratulations to the December Athletes of the Month! Our Athletes of the Month are Teddy Kowalski (Bowling), Edgar Mosquera (Wrestling), Nate Kissel (Diving), Sienna Giampetro (Competitive Cheer), and Gabriella Graupera Moner (Basketball). Keep up the great work, and we look forward to seeing which of our Bulldogs earn the award for January!

Do-Rite Donuts Freshman Class Fundraiser

Daddy Daughter Dance: Friday, February 7th


Riverside Brookfield High School is hosting a Daddy Daughter Dance on Friday, February 7th, from 6:00-7:30 PM in the RBHS Cafeteria! Enjoy a Western-themed night out with Dad, complete with dancing, crafts, a photo booth, goodies, and more! $27 per cowgirl- dads are free! Click here for tickets and more info.

RB Hitting and Pitching Baseball Camp for 6th-8th Graders


RB Baseball is hosting a Hitting and Pitching Camp for 6th-8th graders on Monday, February 17th (Presidents' Day) from 12:00-3:00 PM in the RB Field House. Instruction is led by Head Coach Mark Ori and the RB Baseball coaching staff. Registration is $50 the day of the event (cash or Venmo @Mark-Ori). Click the link or scan the QR code to sign up!

RB Softball Youth Clinics


Join RB Softball at their 2025 Youth Clinics! Clinics will be February 2nd and March 9th from 1pm-2:30pm in the RBHS Fieldhouse. Instruction is led by the RB Softball coaching staff and current players. Cost is $10 and payment of cash or Venmo will be taken at the door. Bulldog Youth Cheer Clinic


Join RB Cheer for their Bulldog Youth Cheer Clinic! The clinic is Monday, February 17th from 9 AM-11 AM in the RB Field House. Open to grades K-4th, learn basic cheer skills and perform a mini routine during halftime of the Boys Varsity Basketball Game on 2/19! Registration is $50 and includes a t-shirt and bow. Riverside Brookfield High School is proud to partner with the Glenbard Parent Series (GPS) to provide our families with access to informative sessions and valuable resources that support their children’s growth and development. These FREE presentations feature world-renowned authors, clinicians, and speakers and are open to all families.

 

The majority of the programs are offered virtually with no registration required. We encourage community members to attend the following GPS webinars. Links and details for each event are available on the GPS website.


Financial Aid Application Completion Workshop

UIC’s Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services (LARES) is hosting a Financial Aid Application Completion Workshop on Saturday, January 25th from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Get personalized help with FAFSA or the Alternative Application for IL Financial Aid. All high school seniors and parents/guardians are welcome to attend.
