LODGES IN MOTION: Northern New York Lodge in Formation

On November 10th, 11 men brought a patriotic song package to the Lewis County NY VFW Lodge in Lowville NY and entertained an assemblage of Veterans. These men and women enthusiastically welcomed the singers who are a WBQA LODGE in formation. A 45 minute program, the men showcased songs from each of the wars and battles and received tremendous applause and appreciation. When the Armed Forces medley was performed…. We recognized each service and asked those veterans to stand and be acknowledged…..they did so proudly! They acknowledged us with a standing ovation.

To all our WBQA members who are Veterans….THANK YOU for your service and carrying the weight on your shoulders …. The weight of freedom….

To all members without a local lodge …. Do your part and reach out … start a Lodge in your area…. Join up with other members…recruit some new guys and sing the songs we love and cherish… sing loud and proud the Old Fashion Way! If you need help…. Reach out to George Gipp, our VP of Lodge Formation and you will be glad you did! He’s a firecracker!

With a song in my heart, ( and voices in my head! )

BOARD APPROVES PROVISIONAL LODGE LICENSE

The Board of directors approved a process whereby potential Lodges who have completed steps 1 through 5 of the 10 Steps to Form a Lodge, may apply for a one-year provisional status as a Lodge while they complete the final 5 steps. (The Ten Steps to Form a Lodge can be found on the Society website at sppbsqsus.org under the 'Lodge' tab).

Steps one through two only require ten WBQA members, a Lodge name, contact information for a minimum of three officers and a written commitment to make its best efforts to satisfy all steps to becoming a Lodge within one year.

VP Lodges George Gipp says we want to make it as easy as possible for men for form a Lodge and enjoy the fun and fellowship that can be had with others to sing with. This should make it easier to form a Lodge.

There has been a lot of activity happening:
