CDP Update February 2025

Introducing the CDP Update

We are excited to introduce a new way to communicate with you—our valued donors and supporters. Starting this month, we will shift from our usual monthly newsletter to an update every two months. Going forward, we will alternate between sending a newsletter and an update. So, you can expect to receive a newsletter next month, followed by an update the month after, and so on.

Our monthly newsletter has become one of our most successful projects, with nearly 2,700 subscribers, strong open and click-through rates, and an impressively low unsubscribe rate. Over the past year, we have made various design, font, and color adjustments to enhance consistency, readability, and accessibility. These improvements have made it easier for our readers to skim and engage with the content that matters most to them.

Creating high-quality content and in-depth stories for our newsletter requires a significant investment of time, which is often in short supply. With February marking our first CDP UPDATE, we aim to provide valuable content and recent highlights to keep you informed. By making this change, our team will be able to allocate more time to new engagement priorities that will help further our mission.

We look forward to hearing what you think! Thank you for your continued support.

Welcome New Leadership

In January, the CDP Board appointed Bill Madden, a Commercial Loan Officer with Cape Cod Five to its Board of Directors. Bill has been involved with the CDP since 2021, serving on its Advisory Board, and later also on the Economic Development Council. Bill is filling an open seat and will stand for election to a full three-year term at the CDP’s Annual Meeting this spring. A resident of Orleans, he also serves on the Orleans Affordable Housing Trust. Learn more about Bill here.

Bill shared, "It is important for organizations like the CDP to have the resources and opportunities to help people. Nobody can do it all by themselves. I want to see the community I grew up in become a place where people can start families and careers to build fulfilling lives. The community needs it."

We value your feedback and would appreciate learning more about your experience with the CDP. Please participate in our short Donor & Supporter Survey by Friday, February 21st. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make our new office home a reality.

We Heart You

If you receive a phone call from the CDP on Wednesday, February 12th, please be sure to pick up!

It’s our annual Donor & Supporter Thank-a-thon, and our board members and staff will be calling to express their gratitude for the positive impact you make. We also want to learn more about why you choose to support our work.
