We Are the Church!

Story Telling Gathering

After worship this last Sunday, we met in the library for a fun storytelling gathering led by our consultant, Craig Williams.

We remembered the history of our church and our part in creating it.

Sanctuary Deep Clean

Thank you to Mellody Anderson and Alan & Glory Lopez for being "angels among us" and coming this week to deep clean the sanctuary. It has been a long time, so this was quite the task!

Discernment Journey

Thank you to all who attended the Storytelling Gathering on Sunday.

The next step will be conducting simple community interviews.

Watch for more information coming on January 12, 2025

THIS SUNDAY

Angels Among Us: #MoreJoy

Scripture: Matthew 1:18-25

The angels that appear in the story of Jesus’ birth would have been very comfortable in our world of social media and hashtags. Their messages were often short and to the point — their favorite line being #DoNotBeAfraid. This Advent we will look at the stories of these winged messengers to Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the Shepherds and their reactions to them, we will contemplate what messages we can offer that will counteract a culture of fear and bring #morehope, #morepeace, #morejoy, and #morelove and ultimately #morelight to the world.

Help us to plan for 2025

Have you had a chance to return your Estimate of Giving for 2025? If not, you can find cards in the Narthex, or you may fill out an online version HERE

It's not too late!! Please consider making a special donation toward Per Capita for 2024.

As part of a connectional church we pay per capita apportionment per member to support the work of the larger Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This year the amount is $40.65 and will be divided between Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly. Every Presbyterian shares in the benefit of the PC (USA)'s system of government, so every Presbyterian is asked to share the expenses associated with coordinating and performing the functions of that system. Please consider making this special offering, You may add it to your regular offering, but please make a note that the donation includes an offering to per capita.

Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not regretfully or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
