Q: When did you join LIFT and why?
A: I joined November of 2022 when I started my job in downtown Jackson. In the beginning, I honestly just thought "why not" because it was so convenient. It wasn't until around July 2023 when I really had a shift in mindset and decided that I had to commit to a change because no one was going to do it for me.
Best. Decision. Ever.
Q: What do you like best about the LIFT Wellness Center?
A: I love the sense of community and accountability that the LIFT offers. From the time you walk in the door, every staff member, instructor, trainer, etc. is ready and willing to make the most of your experience. They will meet you where you are and assist in whatever way they can.
Q: How has being part of the LIFT improved your life outside of the gym?
A: Since joining the LIFT, I've been more motived and drastically improved my mental health. I have lost over 50 Pounds and feel better and more confident than I have in years. I didn't realize how much time I spent worrying about my weight and my health until I didn't do that anymore. I can now be more present in my relationships, my job, and my day-to-day life.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do when at LIFT?
A: I LOVE the Group Exercise classes. Every instructor truly invests in each member and will push you to be your best every single day. I can honestly say that I wouldn't be where I am without them because they push me and inspire me to be better every time I walk through the door.
Q: What advice would you give someone who is thinking about joining the LIFT?
A: You will NEVER regret investing in yourself. Don' be intimidated to jump in, wherever that may be. Whether you are an avid gym goer or you're just now starting your journey, there is something here for everyone. Invest in your health because it's the most important investment you will ever make.
