NCEE leads a statewide initiative advancing economic and financial literacy.

On November 15, 2024, 256 high school students from 16 different schools competed at the Husker Business Invitational at University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Students competed in three testing rounds with options to compete in accounting, business calculations, business communication, economics, FBLA, introduction to business, introduction to financial math, job interview, and personal finance. Students also toured the campus and experienced lunch in a college dining hall.

On November 15, 2024, 185 high school students from 16 different schools competed at the Omaha Business Invitational at University of Nebraska at Omaha. Students competed in three testing rounds with options to compete in accounting, business math, economics, entrepreneurship, introduction to business, introduction to IT, marketing, MIS, and personal finance. The top finishers in each category receive a $1,000 scholarship to CBA.

Congratulations to Cornerstone Bank on the grand opening of the in-school savings program at Shelton Public Schools on November 11. On the first deposit day, 64 students made a deposit. Students at Shelton Public Schools saved $506 on day one!
