CAC is seeing an increase in tech-related cases where kids are asked to share photos of themselves or their body parts with people who they think are their friends. However, these photos are often used to threaten the child into sending more revealing photos or worse.


One way to help keep your kids safe online is to use the parental controls feature on the social media sites they're using. CAC Forensic Interviewer Taylor Edmunds created handouts (pictured above) with QR codes that take you to the parental controls for each site. There you can read more about online safety. You can also learn how to see your child's activity or limit access according to your family's rules.
