Affordable Housing Loans

Prairie Run Apartments - Hayden

Milner Mobile Home Park

YVCF has made its second and third Impact Investments to support affordable housing since we launched the program just over one year ago. These philanthropic loans are proving transformational for creating and preserving affordable and attainable housing in the Yampa Valley - and repayments of the first loan are already being used to fund additional investments.

A below-market rate loan of $5.25 million for Prairie Run Apartments in Hayden is enabling the construction of 135 perpetually deed-restricted living units, while the Milner Mobile Home Park is under contract to be purchased by a newly-formed co-op homeowners group.

These investments are only possible due to the seeding of our Yampa Valley Housing Accelerator Fund by generous anonymous donors. Interested in supporting these efforts? Reach out to Tim Wohlgenant or make a gift to the Routt County Workforce Housing Preservation Fund.
