GOD IS JEALOUS

Jealous: A fear or thought that someone you dearly love may love somebody else more than they love you.

Deuteronomy 4:24 says, “For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.”

Exodus 34:14 says, “For thou shalt worship no other god, for the LORD whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”

The LORD God loves you and all His people very dearly. When a person loves something else or someone else more than they love Him, it provokes Him to jealousy. It can provoke Him to bring negative consequences upon the person, group, or nation.

This is why Israel has had problems with neighboring nations because they loved or worshiped the false gods of those nations.

What about you? What about me? Is there anything we love so much that we would focus more on that thing or any person more than upon God? It could be a child or children, husband, or wife, mother, father, or sibling.

We can put no thing or any person ahead of God on our list of priorities. It would provoke God to jealousy, and the ultimate consequences would do us harm.

Yes, we may love family dearly, but we cannot put them above God. Jealousy tends to evoke negative consequences. We must not elicit negative consequences from God due to our misplaced love, affection, or attention.  

Above all else, we must love, and honor God more than we do anybody or anything else. We do not wish to provoke God’s jealousy toward us.

ISOLATION

God is calling those that will hear to come to a place that only He and they can be at. It is an isolated place. It is a place of total dependence upon God because only you and the Lord are there. It is a lonely place if you are a “people” person. Your circle of friends cannot come into that place, for it is isolation with you and God.

Oftentimes in the scriptures we see David in that place. After Ziklag and the disaster of finding all the wives and children taken by the Amalakites, the only place David could find comfort was found in the LORD. We see that the ones that followed him and were his closest comrades spoke of stoning him.

1 Samuel 30:6 says, “And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.”

In those times when your friends forsake you, and your life is in shambles, you can do what David did. He encouraged himself in the Lord.

How do we do that? In those isolated times, we go to the Word of God and His promises and remind ourselves that God’s word is true and will override anything the enemy has thrown against us. It takes a time of isolation and quietness to calm ourselves, to encourage ourselves in the Word, and to praise God in spite of the storm in our lives.

Isolation is not a bad thing. God uses it to bring us closer to Him. It allows us to see that He alone is faithful to us, and we can always depend upon him. Isolation frees us from the worldly ties that have drawn us away from God. It let’s us look into the mirror of our soul and realize who is there with us.  

Isolation is not separation from God. It is separation from the things that keep us separated from God. Isolation brings new life to those that do not resist it. It brings renewed hope and encouragement to those that seek God during those isolated times. Isolation is necessary to grow closer to God. Do not resist it.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION

Let’s face it...We ALL will feel kind of OUT of PLACE on the WAY to where God has us GOING. Therefore, IF it helps you to know you’re definitely NOT alone; As most every one of us have felt that very same way at one time or the other. So you get on up, look up and cheer up…For you’re in great company. You see the GOOD news IS the BAD news was dead WRONG; And it will only be a few DETERMINED folks like YOU who WILL make it…ALL the way through victoriously. So just remember as you get yourself UP and continue on the journey; That you may still FEEL a little OUT of place at times. After all, it just might be that God is shifting some people and some things OUT of YOU that could NOT and cannot STAY in YOU. Just know this WILL cause YOU...To get yourself UP and MOVING, IN PLACE, PRAYED UP and READY to GO up when Jesus comes to take us UP.

Your Savior waits for you.

 He’s speaking to you always,

 In everything you do.

The Holy Spirit deep within you

 Gives you the best advice.

Keep the strength from God above,

Read his book, take his advice.

Always know this Devil

Waits to enter you.

 Do what’s right, pray to God,

in all that you may do.

Let the gift of Heaven

Be your constant goal.

 Be a friend, love all men,

Keep the faith of old.
