Dear Strawbridge family:

Following approval at the Church Conference last October, our project to build a new

education building and renovate the existing children’s area is moving ahead as planned:

• As of year-end 2024, over $1.44 million of the total $3.35 million dollars of pledges have been received – the support of the congregation is much appreciated
• Detailed construction drawings and specifications will be completed in February and we will immediately move into a 4 to 6 month permitting exercise
• We anticipate having an updated cost estimate and financing arranged by mid-March, after which final reviews with the Church Council/Charge Conference will be completed prior to executing the construction contract and financial documents
• Re-roofing of existing buildings and renovation of the choir room are planned over this summer
• Ground-breaking for the new building is planned in September 2025, with occupancy in early-May 2026 prior to starting the renovation work
• Renovation of the children’s area will start in mid-May 2026 for completion in September 2026, though our Bright Beginnings Learning Center (BBLC) will be able to occupy enough space to start the 2026 fall semester in mid- to late-August by temporarily placing 3 classrooms in the new building

We look forward to fulfilling this phase of our vision to support our ministries and

missions – sufficient adult Sunday School space, a dedicated nursery and improved security for our children’s area, more storage areas for missions, safer choir risers, and new roofs.
