JANUARY 2025

Dear HCP4,

Happy New Year! I am thrilled to welcome 2025 and grateful to be serving in my third year as your Commissioner for Harris County Precinct 4.

We have made incredible progress in moving Precinct 4 forward these past two years. We have opened a Baylor Teen Health Clinic, a food and resource center in partnership with the Tejano Center, held nearly 20 town halls, and completed over one hundred miles of roads, trails, and sidewalk improvements.

This year, I know we will continue to deliver on promises and new projects, including finishing construction on 50 miles of new sidewalks across the Precinct. These sidewalks ensure our children, our neighbors, and ourselves have safe walkways to schools, businesses, and places of worship.

This month, join me at our Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Job Fair on January 20th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bayland Community Center. In partnership with Commissioner Ellis’s office, we will have nearly 20 local organizations, including County departments, the AFL-CIO, Goodwill, and more to connect residents with rewarding jobs.

I know 2025 will bring new opportunities and possibilities for us all. Let’s make this year our best yet!

All my best,

Lesley Briones
