VOICES Leadership Program 2024-25 | |
The VOICES Leadership program creates space for undergraduate students to learn leadership skills grounded in an intersectional feminist framework while building community.
The year-long program consists of a day-long retreat, monthly meetings, and a showcase project.
Applications are due by 11:59pm PST Monday October 14th, 2024. Students who complete the year-long program can receive credit on their Co-Curricular Record (CCR). Apply on our website or at the link in our LinkTree.

We want to hear from you. Tell us, how can UC San Diego support belonging? You are invited to join us at the Women’s Center for an opportunity to share your experiences of belonging on campus.
As compensation for your time and expertise, the first 15 students to sign-in to the in-person event will receive a $20 gift card.
Food and drinks will be available to all participants.
Eligibility to Participate: -Are you an undergraduate student at UC San Diego? -Are you 18+? -Do you self-identify as a woman (trans or cis), non-binary, or gender non-conforming? (The research team understands this is one of many identities you may hold and invites you to bring all of them to the space!) -Do you want to share your experiences of belonging on campus and help shape institutional metrics, policies, and practices to increase student belonging at UC San Diego? (If you are not eligible for this research call, there may be another opportunity to participate in a future call!)
You will have two opportunities to participate at the Women's Center: Date(s): Wednesday, October 23, 2024, 5:00pm-6:30pm and Wednesday, October 30, 2024, 3:00pm-4:30pm.

STEMinist Network
The STEMinist Network is a drop-in program that creates opportunities for gender marginalized undergraduate students in STEM to connect and build community within the larger context of STEM as a male dominated field.
We focus on gender and science, community building, and professional development. We use the term “gender marginalized” to recognize the impact of sexism on many communities including, but not limited to, transgender women, cisgender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals, and gender non-conforming individuals.

Please join us for a presentation followed by Q and A with our special guest Dr. Sandra Rice, a board-certified internal medicine specialist and author of the book, The Estrogen Question: Know Before You Say “No” to HRT.
Most of Dr. Rice’s 42-year career was spent caring for mid-life women, and her long tenure in practice gave her firsthand experience following women from their reproductive years well into their postmenopausal years. As an internist specializing in chronic disease management, she has been particularly concerned about how the menopause transition affects women’s health across their lifespans.
She is a member of the Menopause Society (formerly the North American Menopause Society) and the International Menopause Society. She has been active in her community raising menopause awareness.
This event is sponsored by the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) and the Women’s Center.
