Florida-bred Juveniles Take Perfect Records Into Parx Future Stars Stakes

While they have only three races between them, Florida-breds Global Steve and Right Wing Runner take their unblemished records into the $75,000 Parx Future Stars at Parx Racing Monday, a seven-furlong test for 2-year-olds. Cash is King and LC Racing’s Global Steve is the second choice on the morning line at 4-1 while Right Wing Runner is 5-1 in the program for owner Richard Malouf.

This Day in Florida Thoroughbred History - The Judge Sez Who Wins the Grade 3 Fred W. Hooper at Calder Race Course

DECEMBER 28, 2002—Florida-bred The Judge Sez Who and jockey Cornelio Velasquez circled their rivals around the far turn, took over in early stretch then drew off to win the $100,000 Fred W. Hooper Handicap (Grade 3) by a length-and-a-half at Calder Race Course.

Trainer Antonio Sano is approaching a personal milestone of 1,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through Saturday Dec. 28, Sano was at 998 wins. He has two horses entered to run at Gulfstream Park on Sunday.
