Recall Notice: TRUBLUE Speed Auto Belay Devices

If your organization uses TRUBLUE Speed Auto Belay Devices, please read this email carefully.

As our customer, we care about your safety and want you to be aware that Head Rush Technologies issued an urgent safety alert and recall for specific models due to a potential fall hazard caused by impaired retraction spring performance. The affected devices were manufactured between May 2023 and August 2024, with the following models and serial number ranges:

TRUBLUE iQ LT: iQ0041591 - iQ0044486.
TRUBLUE iQ+ LT: iQP000401 - iQP000422.
TRUBLUE iQ XL: iQXL01283 - iQXL03425.
TRUBLUE iQ+ XL: iQXLP0104 - iQXLP0215.

What does this mean for you?

If your organization uses one or more of these devices, it is critical you take the following steps immediately.

Check serial numbers: Locate the serial number on the device handle or recertification sticker to verify if your TRUBLUE device is affected.
Remove from service: If affected, immediately remove the device from service and do not allow it to be used until it is inspected or repaired.
Contact service center: Reach out to your authorized Head Rush Technologies service center to arrange for inspection and the installation of updated parts at no cost. If you already have an annual inspection underway with a professional service provider, they may also be able to inspect for this recall.
