Benefit Mini-Golf Tournament

a Big Success

Many thanks to everyone who made last month’s mini-golf such a success: our golfers, our principal sponsors, Pacific Paradise Family Fun Center, TwinStar Credit Union, 1st Security Bank, our hole sponsors, and our steadfast volunteers. With the price of food rising and the growing number of people reaching out to the food bank for help, this fundraising event was vital to our mission of ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. What a wonderful afternoon! We are deeply grateful to everyone for bringing the fun and the support!

The Ocean Shores Food Bank is seeking volunteer Board Members to lead and strengthen the community organization, especially with leadership or fundraising experience.

The food bank is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors with responsibilities that include long-term planning, program oversight, fundraising, advocacy, outreach, and the development of organizational policy.

If you are interested in a board position, email a request for an application to food@oceanshoresfoodbank.org or call (360) 289-2171 and leave a message.

Recently, a guest shared, “It’s such a joy to come to the food bank. Everyone is always smiling and making me feel welcome. The food choices are great, and the people are even better. I feel like I have friends here that care about me.”

Food bank volunteers strive to create a caring community each and every Thursday we are open for distribution. It’s wonderful to hear that the food bank is a place where people come not only for supplemental groceries but also for a warm welcome and a sense of belonging.

Food Bank Partners with

North Beach Students

The Ocean Shores Food Bank is partnering with students at North Beach High School in a" project-based learning activity." Students will learn about the food bank and its mission and design and implement projects that will support the food bank as it works to alleviate food insecurity in our community. It's not only a great learning experience for the students but also for the food bank, as they will offer fresh perspectives and new ideas as we all work together to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

Consider leaving a Legacy Gift to the Ocean Shores Food Bank in Your Will

Just as we are committed to ensuring everyone in our community has access to adequate nutritious food, we are equally sure you are committed to protecting your loved ones.

A Will is more than just a document; it’s a way to care for all that you love, such as designating guardians for minor children and pets and helping us address hunger for years to come.

Having a plan for your assets is crucial, but so is creating a legacy that reflects your values and commitment. You will make a generational impact in a world where food is a basic human right.

Thank you again for your generosity, partnership, and dedication to our mission to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
