THE FALL FEASTS LESSON 11 OF 11
FEAST OF TABERNACLES – PART 7
TEMPLE HISTORY
_______________
October 23, at sunset, concludes the Feast of Tabernacles or Simchat Torah. Although the Feast of Tabernacles is now over, there is much of interest for us still to talk about historically. Earlier we said the eighth day was on the 18th of October, but it is October 24.
Upon entering Canaan, Israel settled down in their assigned tribal territories. Joshua placed the Tabernacle of the Congregation in Shiloh which was about eighteen to twenty miles north of Jebus (the future site of Jerusalem). Shiloh was still its location when David became King.
When Saul was made king, his home in Gibeah became the de facto capital of Israel and Shiloh was the center for worship. When David became king over all Israel, he took over Jebus and renamed it Jerusalem. He removed the Tabernacle from Shiloh and brought it to Jerusalem. He desired to build a permanent temple for God, but God forbade him to do it. His son, King Solomon, was chosen by God to build the Temple. It was very splendid and is often called “Solomon’s Temple.” It is also called the “First Temple” and was later totally destroyed in 586 B.C. by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.
After the Jews returned from Babylon, the “Second Temple” was built in 515 B.C. It was not nearly as ornate or as splendid as the First Temple, but it served the purpose.
The Second Temple was completely refurbished in 20 B.C. and became known then as “Herod’s Temple” and was rather splendid. It became centrally important to Jewish life and observances.
This Second Temple, “Herod’s Temple,” was completely destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D., along with all of Jerusalem. This left the Jews without a place to perform their sacrifices and offerings to God. They were persecuted and scattered into many other countries. This event is called “The Diaspora” or “scattering” which lasted into the 20th century. However, as prophesied, they were “regathered” into a nation again in May 1948.
The diaspora brought need to devise a new means of worship that could maintain their cultural, ethnic, and religious identity. During 132-135 A.D. they developed a new religious culture based on “law and prayer.” They preserved what they could from the old “law” and the feasts. Temple sacrifices were replaced with a focus on prayers. The synagogues were important for gathering together. Today the Jews are eagerly planning for the construction of the Third Temple, the coming of Messiah, and the resumption of Temple sacrifices. It will fulfill prophecy right in front of our eyes.

THE PATROL BELT
_________________
When I was a young girl, our elementary school was within walking distance. Kids were selected to be patrol boys or girls. These “Patrol” kids came to school a little early and stood on the corner intersection near the school and helped guide children across the street. It was a real honor to be selected.
One day they had selections for patrol boys and girls. I wanted to be one and was chosen out of several that had applied. I was so excited. I would be “helping” others. On the day when the patrol belts were given out, there were several kids waiting to receive their belts. It came down to the last two to get their belts, and I was one of them. Unfortunately, the principal had not ordered enough belts, and someone would not get theirs. I was asked to forfeit my belt and give it to the other person.
I never became a patrol person. I would have to say that it was a wound that only God healed as I grew in Christ.
Recently, I had an encounter with the Lord. He told me that I had been chosen to be his “Patrol Girl” standing on the corner of life directing others to safety. He then told me that he had given me a belt to wear. It is found in Ephesians 6:14. It says in the Amplified Version: “So stand firm and hold your ground, having tightened the wide band [belt] of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist…”
I may not have been selected to receive a patrol belt seventy years ago, but I have one now. This is a testimony that God always has the final word. Our desires may not come immediately, but they will come when we put our trust in God.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION
10-4-2024
This is not the season for the weakhearted. This is the season where faith will be stretched further and further. We must remember that our weapons are not fleshly (carnal) but mighty through God. We must not let doubt, fear, or unbelief enter our minds, for if we do, we will certainly falter. Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God and stand firm, fighting the fight of faith with God's Word. Speak life over yourself. Speak healing over yourself. Speak the Word and God's promises over yourself. Yes, the battles will be intense, but God will see you through if you trust Him and his promises!

APOSTLE PAT MURRAY
PROPHETIC EXHORTATION
May we always keep in mind these words from God’s Holy Bible in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways;THEN I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and I’ll heal their land”. My friend, I’m sure we all can see the handwriting is on the wall; And America is in trouble…BIG trouble. If you’re not doing so already; We all need to join together in earnest prayer and cry out to God according to the above scripture; For we must keep our great USA the same Godly nation that it was founded on…And continue being the LAND of the FREE and the HOME of the BRAVE!

Friday Thought For Today
Do You Believe?
The question to be asked is “what” do you believe? What do you base your life on? For me, the cross, points me to Christ. It was on a cross that God’s love became so real. It was the final sacrifice that God required for us to have relationship with Him.
There is so much that could be written here this day but the truth is most of us know the Bible stories and probably have repeated the prayer to receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. But the question is; do we believe enough to walk out our faith before a lost and dying world. What do we believe about God? Do we trust that the words we read in our Bible are real and living? And if we do believe the words in our Bible, do we believe that they are there to be used and acted upon?
“But overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”
Mark 5:36 ESV
“Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Mark 9:23 NKJV

Keep me Safe! HCC
The storm is passing by,
keep me safe dear Jesus.
Safe to do your will,
and give your love to send to others. Mothers, Fathers, Sister, Brothers,
For all who need direction,
in these ends of days.
Some they do not see,
Spiritual blindness, Their enemy. Encompass America with your
Forgiveness.
Open their blind eyes to you.
The government has been taken over, and not By the good, but by the Devil.
I look up to the Heavens,
as I thank you, for your will to be done

Standards of Perfection
Matt 5:48 "Be Ye Perfect as Your Father in Heaven is Perfect." Ouch!
New Preacher/Teacher is in town. A new righteousness is revealed to the ever- growing multitudes coming to listen on the mountain. These words will go down through all time, to all types of men in prison and temples, even those yet to be born.
I had 2 friends in the last 2 days ask me the same question in different ways.
One quoted a friend of hers saying there is no way we can be perfect. (maybe looking for a loophole.)
The other sent some words on the subject asking me and others what we thought.
In Psalm 19, David said, "Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins, may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgressions. May the Word of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight. O Lord, my Rock, my Redeemer." A man after God's own heart. (GOD SAID)
David also noted that God knows we are but dust, (Psalms 103:14) trusting in the grace of God helping us sinners willing to believe.
What I see is this: No, we can not be perfect by ourselves, our own decision- making mind, creativeness to justify our sins. It just will not work.
But the tighter we yoke with our Savior, let Him call the shots, the more we live in the Bible stories and learn what they were meant to teach us, the more we allow The Holy Spirit in us to speak to us loud and clear, the more we are not willing to be accepted by an evil world run by principacities and powers, the closer we come to achieving this 10-Word Sentence Jesus closed his first death-sentence, life-giving, Sermon on. Glory!
Love, Mary Weaver

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for (audience)? Why should they care (benefit)? What do I want them to do (call-to-action)?
Create a great offer by adding words like "free," "personalized," "complimentary," or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take action, so consider inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
