Rev. Ken Erickson

In person and on Zoom.

Annual Meeting to follow!

The Rev. Ken Erickson

Diocese Missioner

for Church Life

We are excited to welcome a new priest to celebrate Eucharist with us! Rev. Ken is also our new Diocese Missioner for Church Life, succeeding Rev. Mack Olson in this roll.

Rev. Ken was born and grew up in Chicago, and was baptized and confirmed in the Swedish Evangelical Covenant Church. During college, he began attending an Episcopal Church where one of his English professors was an assisting priest, and that is where he found his spiritual home. Through the encouragement of the brothers at the Society of St John the Evangelist, he found his way eventually to Duke Divinity School, and was ordained in the Diocese of North Carolina by Bishop Michael Curry. Since then, Ken has served parishes in the dioceses of Oregon, Chicago and Michigan.

For the last ten years, through the invitation of a family member to consider a change, he took a challenging detour and managed 400 acres of walnuts, almonds, pecans and olives here in Sutter County. With gratitude and delight for God’s good timing, Ken looks forward to supporting the mission and ministries of our diocese.

Candidates for 2025 Vestry

Our regular Vestry is nine seats. We currently have seven seats filled. Vestry members have a three-year term, staggered so that three members come off the Vestry and can be replaced with three new members each year.

Members retiring this year are Steve Russell, Co-Senior warden, Steve Christensen, and Carol Holt, Treasurer (however, Carol can remain treasurer). We are grateful for their service these last three years.

That leaves David Hoos (2026), Co-Sr. Warden, Julie Mathis (2025), Jr. Warden, Nancy Moore, (2026) clerk, and Jennifer Putnam (2026) remaining on the Vestry.

We have two candidates to fill five vacancies:

Diane Christensen | Jeff Seitz

A big thank you to Diane and Jeff who have stepped up to serve on the 2025 Vestry!

Our by-laws allow for a minimum of five on the Vestry. We are going into 2025 with four incumbent members and five vacancies. However, the two candidates will give us six members!

Convention Delegate Candidates

2025 Diocesan Convention

November 7 – 8, 2023

Redding, CA

Trinity must also send three delegates to the Annual Diocese Convention to be held in Redding on November 7-8, 2025.

Delegate candidates are:

Mary Krauthamel | Meg Verardi | Carol Holt

We also need two alternate delegates in the event an elected can't attend. We need one more.

 Alternate delegate candidate:

Nancy Moore

Please Contact David or Steve R. if you interested in becoming a Vestry Member or an alternate delegate.

Music Director

We are sad to announce our music director Mary Y. will be leaving us after January. She has seen us through COVID by providing piano recordings for our Zoom services, and when we could meet in person again, she has been at the piano leading our choir in song every Sunday.

We have been so blessed to have her and our choir. Many churches our size go without this enriching addition to services.

We wish her all the best in her transition
