HR is preparing for Open Enrollment with our new insurance provider, IPBC.

All employees will need to meet with HR or IPBC to review plan options and make their selections. Educational sessions will be offered leading up to Open Enrollment, with opportunities during the workday, as well as one evening session and one Saturday morning session for employees, spouses, and retirees to learn about the plan features.

Additionally, HR will host 1-on-1 sessions for employees to sign up and meet with a member of HR to discuss plan options in more detail. Department-specific enrollment sessions will take place October 28 - November 1.

Keri Kaup

Office of the City Manager

Keri joins the City as the Assistant to the City Manager. Keri obtained her Bachelor's and Master's from Michigan State University. She enjoys gardening, walking with her dogs Maddie and Mair and reading. She and her husband love to travel and explore new places and cultures. She loves great food, working out and staying active. Keri is excited to join the City and looks forward to meeting everyone. Stop by City and welcome Keri to the team!

Library

Maddie is thrilled to return to Lake Forest Library (she previously worked her in 2023) as a Youth Services Librarian. Most recently, Maddie was a Youth Services Librarian at Tippecanoe County Public Library in Indiana. Maddie enjoys reading, knitting, relaxing with her cat, and playing roller derby. She looks forward to sharing her creativity and love of reading with the Lake Forest community.

Nick joins the Library as a Facilities Assistant, after having been a Maintenance Technician for nine years at Lake Forest Country Day School. Nick enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and working in cars. He looks forward to helping everyone who visits the Library.

Sabrina Nizzi

Library

Sabrina joins the Library as a new Circulation Assistant. She loves watching the sunrise on lakefront beaches and is an avid painter. During the pandemic, she created a community service connecting high school students with the areas senior citizens to help them improve their digital fluency and confidence with mobile devices. Sabrina is excited to be part of the wonderful team at the Library.

Eric Farr

Fire Department

Congratulations to Eric on his promotion to Battalion Chief. Eric joined the City in 2005 as a Firefighter Paramedic, in 2022 he was promoted to Fire Lieutenant.

Kevin Guzman

Public Works - Sanitation

Congratulations to Kevin on his promotion to Apprentice. Kevin joined the City in 2023 as a Seasonal Maintenance Worker and has recently been hired as an Apprentice in the Sanitation Department.
