Farming Forward and Leduc County are hosting a free 3-part series:

• Alpacas 101 - February 19: Presented by Paityn Eidt, A.L.P.A.C.A

We have opened up more seats so you can register if you still haven't!

The speakers will touch on the basics of nutrition, housing/infrastructure, husbandry, and topics to consider about ownership. This is for new producers or producers who want to improve their knowledge.

A collaborative effort among AB Lamb Producers (ALP), AB Goat Association (AGA), Alpaca Livestock Producers & Cooperators Association (A.L.P.A.C.A.), Farming Forward Association (FFA), and Leduc County.

You may choose 1 or multiple BMPs to implement and you can receive funding for each of them. Funding may cover implementation costs, opportunity costs, and impact costs up to a maximum of $150,000 for primary producers and $300,000 for Indigenous applicants, depending on the BMP chosen.

As of February 3, the Resilient Agricultural Landscape Program (RALP) has opened for Year 3 applications.
