Last week's webinar - The Fairlight Audio Page in DaVinci Resolve 19 - had hundreds of viewers! It covered the Fairlight interface, audio editing, audio repair, audio levels, audio mixing and a wide variety of shortcuts. (I'll cover the Color page later this month.)
As Trevor wrote: “I’ve been learning Fairlight for some months and I like to say you present it so well. Easy to listen to and well explained. WELL DONE Larry! Kind regards.” Buy it today and save 25%!

As a note, Blackmagic updated Resolve to version 19.0.2 last week. However this did not fix the selection bug I illustrated in my webinar. Keyframes are still your best option.
Thinking of Resolve, here are two short excerpts from my webinar. The first is on repairing audio and the second is on recording it.

Part of the new gear I'm using for NAB are Lume Cube Studio Panel LED lights. I own other Lume Cube gear, so I was looking forward to seeing these new units. I was not disappointed.

One of the subjects I wanted to cover in my Fairlight webinar was how to send timelines from Final Cut or Premiere to Resolve, and how to get them back. However, not only did I not have enough time but the process is complex due to all the options; it is easer to write about than to show. So, here you go.

NAB is a good place to learn about "what's new?" But, it's also a good place to learn "what's going on?" To that end, in addition to companies making products, I'm also talking with some "thought leaders" (much though I hate that phrase) to find answers to three questions: "Our industry is undergoing transformation. Where are we now?" "Getting the word out about our services is more important than ever, how can we use PR effectively?" "What do media creators need to know to grow and succeed in today's business environment?
I'm looking forward to discovering the answers. If you are at NAB, stop by Booth 765 and say hello! (Or, at least, wave! Wednesday I will be really busy.)
Until next Monday, stay safe, stay hopeful and edit well.
