THIS SUNDAY

This Sunday Susan will turn us toward revelation.  Not the strange sci-fi scripture of THE BOOK of Revelations, but the experience of revelationGod speaking (so to speak).  It’s Epiphany. What do you hear?

Erin and Kevin will offer an amazing Streisand song: Ordinary Miracles.  They will bring us right into communion, in more ways than one.

Hope to see you Sunday for Epiphany worship.

UPCOMING SERVICES you won’t want to miss.

Feb. 2    Guest Preacher Dr. David Deane,

Professor of Theology at Atlantic School of Theology

Feb.9     Guest Preacher Rev. Canon Charles Bull,

Anglican Priest and Justice Activist

Every Wednesday A Contemplative Service at 6 pm

COMMUNITY NEWS

Welcome Pablo Torezani

We are happy to introduce our new Sexton, Pablo Torezani. Pablo and his wife Ana are from Brazil. He spent a year in Italy and did similar work in a church.

Pablo has already impressed us, jumping in to fix lights that didn't work, carrying chairs around, and being a great and willing help to everyone in the building. If you see him, say hello!

Above are a few photos from today at Saint Andrew's. It takes many hands to bring the Sunday Suppers together. These volunteers were unloading donations from Feed Nova Scotia and putting together new shelving (thanks to a grant from Feed Nova Scotia). Thank You to everyone involved in making Sunday Suppers happen!

Because of you this is a community of care. More than 10,000 meals were served in 2024. We thank God for you.

Coffee Volunteers Needed

Many hands make light work! We have a small but mighty team making coffee and tea for the church on Sunday mornings and cleaning up after the services. We would love to add a few more members to lighten the load for everyone. Can you help? We will provide training - and coffee. And the coffee is very good! Email the office here.

A Gift from the Tweels

In honour of Cia Tweel’s 40 years of teaching Fitness and Yoga at Saint Andrew’s, she would like to offer a gift and invites ‘Members of the Congregation’ to come, try out and enjoy a couple of complimentary Yoga classes, in the upper hall, from now until the end of January 2025.

You may have some fun, relaxation, stress relief, stretching and strengthening, even if you have never done yoga before. All experience levels, all ages, all welcome! Class times: Tuesday 12:15pm, Tuesday 5pm & Thursday 5pm. yogawithcia.com for more info.
