Happy Wednesday! WOW - we are already more than halfway through February. Time flies and in the hustle and bustle of daily life, you might have missed some exciting new businesses that opened in the district late last year and early this year. The National Day Calendar is stocked with great ways to celebrate the little things in life. While doing so, share the love with your local downtown retailers and restaurants! Here are some upcoming National Days we are planning on celebrating...

National Mint Chocolate Day (February 19th): Get your sweet tooth fix on with truffles and treats from Piece, Love & Chocolate and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Or find your mint chocolate treasure in the form of a scoop or shake at Häagen Dazs (inside Lindsay's Boulder Deli), Ben & Jerry's or Gelato Boy.
National Love Your Pet Day (February 20th): Stop by Farfel's Farm and spoil your four-legged friend with the best pet treats and toys in town! Not only are you supporting a family-owned business - you will be supporting the business' dog rescue farm.
National Margarita Day (February 22): Cheers to a fun happy hour at you local spots including Centro Mexican Kitchen, bartaco, Garage Sale Vintage, T/ACO, Illegal Pete's, Pedro's Taco & Tequila Bar, The Rio and more. As always, please drink responsibly!

Each year, the Downtown Boulder Partnership's Annual Luncheon (happening this Friday, February 21st at the St Julien Hotel & Spa), honors the extraordinary contributions and accomplishments of downtown businesses and community members with an array of awards. This week's spotlight features the 2025 Rising Star Awardees, Bitty & Beau's Coffee!

"Bitty & Beau’s made an immediate impact upon opening in the summer of 2023. More than just a coffee shop, Bitty & Beau’s is a human rights movement, providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Here, diversity isn’t just appreciated—it’s celebrated. Guided by this mission, the Fetzer family embarked on a community-focused hiring process, bringing on board familiar faces that customers have known and cherished in other roles." Proclaiming Colorado's Black Lives

Honor Black History Month at the Museum of Boulder's one-of-a-kind exhibit.

It's vital that Black History Month is honored today and every day. Thanks to the Museum of Boulder, NAACP Boulder, Boulder Public Library District, Street Wise Arts, Adrian Miller (the Soul Food Scholar), Blackat Video Productions and many other collaborators and community partners for conveying the important story of Colorado's Black History through oral histories, art and more.

Learn more about the Proclaiming Colorado's Black History exhibit in DBP Intern Frankie's latest experiential blog where she shares some of the stories portrayed throughout the installation.
