Wheeler's 39th Annual Golf Classic

Nets $60,000

Wheeler’s 39th Annual Golf Classic at the Country Club of Farmington netted about $60,000, thanks to the generosity of more than 150 golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and friends. Proceeds will support Wheeler’s Basic Needs Fund, which addresses environmental and social factors that interfere with a patient’s health and well-being, but which are not addressed by other means of funding.

Wheeler Earns 2024 Top Workplace and Top Healthcare Workplace

Wheeler earned Top Workplace for the eighth time since 2013, in addition to receiving a special award for our managers. It comes on the heels of being named a national 2024 Healthcare Industry Top Workplace over the summer.

Wheeler Welcomes New Bristol Lead Physician, Pamela Carrington-Tribble, DO

Pamela Carrington-Tribble, DO, a highly experienced, American Board of Family Medicine-certified, osteopathically trained family physician has moved to Connecticut to become the lead physician at Wheeler’s Family Health & Wellness Center in Bristol.


She has practiced in California since 1993, including 15 years in private practice in Half Moon Bay, California, where she was repeatedly voted “Best Physician/Clinical Practice” in the Half Moon Bay Review.

Rita Demo, MPH, LMFT, Named Vice President, Community, Crisis, and Prevention Services for Wheeler

Rita Demo, MPH, LMFT, was named vice president of Community, Crisis, and Prevention Services for Wheeler, providing clinical and administrative supervision for more than 25 programs.


Previously a senior director with oversight of outpatient, community-based, and crisis programs, Rita assumed additional responsibility for prevention following the June 2024 retirement of Judith Stonger, MA, CPS, vice president of Prevention, Wellness, and Recovery.

Wheeler's Women's (REACH) Program for Expectant and Parenting Women and Their Families Now Available

Funded by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) through a three-year grant, Wheeler’s Women’s REACH program (Recovery, Engagement, Access, Coaching & Healing) program is designed to provide outreach, engagement, short-term case management, and recovery support resources to pregnant and parenting women with substance use or co-occuring disorders as well as their partners, and other immediate parenting family or natural support who have been affected by substance use, either personally, or by the use of the child’s parent.
