This past year at the League was filled with celebration, growth, and incredible teamwork. We're so grateful to everyone who supported our mission in advocating for Chicago's diverse theatre community! We look forward to 45 more years of service!

Don't Forget to Renew your League of Chicago Theatres Membership for 2025!

Beginning this year, ALL membership cycles will run on a calendar year basis which means ALL membership renewal payments are due by January 15, 2025.

Current League members should have received a renewal rate via email or invoice with instructions on how to submit payment for annual dues. For any questions or concerns regarding your membership, please contact membership@chicagoplays.com.

The 38th Annual Young Playwrights Festival returns January 5-26, 2025!

Pegasus Theatre Chicago's Young Playwrights Festival is a citywide playwriting competition that gives voice to teenagers while promoting the art of writing for the stage. This year's festival will highlight three world premier plays and will take place at Chicago Dramatists.

The Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival returns January 15-26, 2025!

The 2025 Chicago Puppet Fest welcomes puppeteers from around the world for 12 straight days of spectacular shows, intimate works and special events at dozens of venues all over the city. This includes 11 hands-on workshops designed for adult professional artists working in any discipline.
