HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

The second of our four build dates is Saturday, February 8! The site is near near 16th St. & Southern. Please email Mark Boyle if you are interested in signing up for this or another of our future Saturday morning build days. No construction experience is necessary. 

SECOND SUNDAY

This weekend’s Second Sunday is your chance to reconnect with yourself, your loved ones, and the community. Whether you’re here for the music, the worship, the workshops, or simply to share a meal and conversation, you’ll find a place of peace and belonging. We can’t wait to welcome you and your pups this Sunday - dogs are welcome on the patio and in Fellowship Hall! For a full schedule of events and more information, visit our website.

SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY

This Sunday is SOUPer Bowl Sunday! The BeTween kids will be collecting donations for the Tempe Community Action Agency Food Bank to help provide for local families in need. After the 10:00 service, look for the kids with the big soup pots and drop in your spare change to help fight hunger in our community. If you're not going to be at church on Sunday, but you'd still like to donate, click HERE. Thank you!

BURN CITY STRING QUARTET

Our Quartet-in-Residence, will present a concert in the sanctuary this Sunday afternoon, February 9, at 3 p.m. This captivating program features Mozart’s gorgeous Clarinet Quintet, K. 581, a masterpiece of warmth and lyrical beauty, performed with special guest artist Jonathan Robinson on clarinet. The concert also includes an exciting contemporary work, "Soap Plant WACKO!" by composer Christopher Norby, written specifically for the Burn City String Quartet. Tickets

FEBRUARY 12 IS ENVIRONMENTAL DAY AT THE CAPITOL

Environmental Day at the Capitol is an opportunity to tell our state legislators we want climate action to save God’s sacred creation. The event is hosted by the Sierra Club, in partnership with over 20 other organizations. Hear from great speakers and connect with others who are doing advocacy work. Meet with your legislators and enjoy a free lunch! The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza, with legislative appointments in the morning. RSVP here and please email Maureen to stay in touch with Dayspring participants.

ASU CHOIRS CONCERT

Experience an unforgettable evening of choral excellence at ASU Canticum Bassum, Sol Singers, and Barrett Symphonic Choir on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. This special concert brings a diverse tapestry of works in "Hearts Beat Together." VALENTINE'S DATE NIGHT

The Dayspring Youth are offering a babysitting event for potty-trained children ages 3-11 on February 14th from 5:00-9:00pm at Dayspring. This is a "pay what you wish" event and will serve as a fundraiser for the youth program. Youth will be leading children in games, crafts and dinner. Dinner will be pizza, veggie tray, fruit and dessert. Register HERE.

TOMATO TALK & PLANT SALE

Join Master Gardeners for a class on the planting, care, companion herbs to help you be successful in growing tomatoes in our low desert climate. The class will be held on Saturday, February 15, from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Maricopa County Cooperative Extension. more

HOSPITALITY TEAM TRAINING

Are you interested in joining Dayspring’s hospitality team? Please join us in the sanctuary after the 10:00 service on February 16 for a brief training. By joining the hospitality team, you will have the opportunity to make others feel welcome, help with the offering, guide the congregation during communion, and build a sense of community. It’s also a great way to meet new people. Email Andrea for more information.

TERRY FOX RUN

February 16 is the first Terry Fox Run in Arizona! The Terry Fox Run is a non-competitive run/walk bringing people together in pursuit of Terry's dream of a world without cancer. All funds raised support innovative cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. 


Participants are welcome to run or walk 1, 2, or 3 laps of Desert Breeze Park (3 laps = 5km). There is no registration fee or minimum donation required to participate. (Participants may fundraise or may donate what they can/wish.)

In person registration will begin on run day at the Main Pavilions in the park at 12:15pm. The run/walk will begin at 1pm. more

UWFaith SHOE DRIVE

Dayspring United Women in Faith are collecting gently worn, used and new shoes to support services to the homeless, women and children in need – locally, nationally and internationally. Collected shoes not only support our missions, but they will be reused and given a second life by those in micro enterprises in developing countries. It’s a WIN-WIN! Donation boxes can be found in the Dayspring narthex through March 30.
