Joanna Petrides, MBS, Psy.D. from the Departments of Family Medicine and Psychology and chair of the Rowan-Virtua SOM Wellness Committee, shares this month’s tip for improving wellbeing.
Mental health days are not just optional, they’re necessary. And we shouldn’t wait until we’ve reached a breaking point to take one. Schedule a mental health day ahead of time which gives you a chance to plan out how you will (or will not) use this day. Plus, it gives you something to look forward to! Knowing you have a day off to recenter yourself can really transform your work week and more.
