The Ally: A Busy Time of Legislation and Celebration

January continues to be a busy month! Legislators introduced hundreds of bills by this past Monday's deadline. We are going through the bills so we can share with you next week those we think are most related to our mission and the issues families tell us matter to them. In the meantime, please watch this video recording of our recent policy discussion about how to track bills and navigate the Mississippi legislature's website.

We are also preparing for our Community Partnership Celebration on February 24 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at BRAVO! I hope to see all of you there. This week, we share information about sponsorships. Sponsorship is an excellent way to support Families as Allies and inform the community about your organization's work.

Finally, we share the Mississippi Development Authority's proposed plan to reallocate nearly $39 million of block grant funding to children's mental health

Remember to check out our events and resources!

We'll return next week with our next legislative update and other information to help us all stand together for our children. I appreciate all of you.
