It's time to share your ideas for our 2025 Outreach Partnership Grant Program!
Each year, Grace makes Partnership Grants to local non-profit aid organizations. Through this program, we partner financially and experientially with local non-profit organizations which serve to assist those in need in greater Rock Hill and York County area.
In addition to awarding a monetary grant to each partner, Grace will learn about, connect with, pray for, support, and work alongside the organization, its staff, and its clients. It is our hope that through this partnership, we will all grow in community.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS!
The Outreach Committee invites you to submit the names of local non-profit aid organizations that might benefit from our partnership and funding, especially at this time. We will be collecting names through January, and in February, we will begin contacting organizations to invite them to apply for a Partnership Grants.
To submit an organization's name, please click HERE.
For more information, please contact Pr. Rachel or any member of the Outreach Committee.
Thank you for helping our Partnership Program succeed!

In the sure and certain hope of the resurrection, we commend our brother, Dennis Hogue, to God's eternal care.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Hogue, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 9, 2025.
Dennis's obituary can be found HERE.
The family will hold a funeral service and burial in Charleston this week, and there will be a Celebration of Life at the Rock Hill Country Club on Sunday, Jan. 19, 3-5pm, where all are welcome.
We keep Dennis's family in our prayers, especially his wife Brenda, their daughter Denise (Mark), and their grandchildren.

From our Campus Minister, The Rev. Dr. Norbert Hahn:
What is your track record with your New Year’s Resolutions?
Are you among the minority of people who manage to sustain their New Year’s resolutions deep into the new year or even throughout the entire year? Or are you with the majority of people whose resolutions begin to fizzle out after a few weeks or months?
My own track record with New Year’s resolutions is mixed. In some instances, I have succeeded; in others, not so much. I have discovered, though, that there is both an art and a science to keeping resolutions or at least not flaming out early.
If resolutions are specific as well realistically achievable (not pie in the sky), and if progress can be measured the chance of success increases substantially. And, if you are lucky enough to have a cheering section that supports you or people who take delight in your efforts, the odds get even better.
Whether you have made resolutions for 2025 or not, I would like to ask you tackle this very simple one: Share the love of God in a practical way by serving one (1) meal to the ten to twelve students that gather at 6:15 on Tuesday evenings at our campus ministry in the White House behind Grace’s main building. Feel free to share this ministry with another Grace household.
Available dates to host can be seen online HERE and on the poster in the fellowship hall, to the right of the window into the memorial garden. You may sign up on either one. If you have questions, please contact me at CM@WELCM.org.
Thank you in advance. I am pretty sure that there is at least one resolution for 2025 that you will hit out of the park.
God’s Peace,
Pastor Hahn

Grace is Going to a Basketball Game! | |
Hello Basketball fans! Did you know Grace Lutheran is among the leading Rock Hill churches in supporting Winthrop University in their athletics and fine arts? Seems so fitting since our origin is steeped in Winthrop University history. I, for one, am very proud we continue to keep our connection strong.
Your Parish Life committee has chosen Saturday, February 15 -2:00pm at the Winthrop Coliseum as a chance for all of us to go and cheer our Eagles on in their game against the highly ranked High Point Panthers. Click HERE to pre-order special group rate $5 tickets. Also mention you would like to be seated in Section 122.
