JANUARY
EMPOWERING OUR TEENS
Carver Center welcomed Keilly Moncada as our new Scholar Adviser. Keilly has been a tremendous resource for our Teen Center members, offering personalized college and career coaching sessions.
Throughout the school year, she has organized workshops on the college application process, scholarship opportunities, and FAFSA completion, ensuring families have the support they need.
Additionally, Keilly plays a key role in helping teens secure employment, including placements through our youth employment programs.

MAKING A SPLASH

Carver Center was proud to announce the launch of our new swim team, the Carver Titans!
This exciting program offers our young athletes the opportunity to develop their skills, build confidence, and foster team spirit in the pool.

PATHWAYS TO POSSIBILITIES
Carver Center sponsored a Career Exploration Night for Port Chester teens. Representatives from various professions joined us to have lively discussions about
future job paths.
Representatives from the Rye Police Department, New Rochelle DPW, Sean Jancski Landscape Architects, Nathan Kline Institute, Soulful Synergy, and the
New Rochelle Fire Department were in attendance to share their insights.

WE DANCED AND RAISED OUR PADDLES ON APRIL 13
375 guests joined us at our Spring Gala to celebrate our new mission to help our community thrive through programs that nourish, educate, and empower—an evening that also saw us surpass our fundraising goal!
Our Co-Chairs, Yvette Hammel and Kelly Shaw, and our incredible Gala Committee, made this unforgettable night a resounding success.

MAY
SHINING STARS
Carver Center held our 2024 Scholarship Reception on May 17th to announce this year's cohort of recipients.
Eighteen Teen Center members and Carver Center Teen Alumni were awarded $58,000 in college scholarships.

JUNE
SUPPORT FOR OUR SENIORS
Carver Center received a $25,000 grant from the Field Hall Foundation
which directly supports our efforts to provide Case Management Services
to low-income seniors in our community.
Field Hall Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of older adults and their caregivers in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties.

JULY
PROVIDING SUMMER FUN

132 Port Chester children enjoyed an exciting and enriching summer at Camp Carver.
Over the course of this 6-week summer program, the children engaged in a diverse range of activities designed to foster their physical, and social development. They participated in sports and recreation activities, took swim lessons and learned valuable water safety skills in our beautiful pool. They also experienced off-site field trips, such as the excursion to the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium, where they marveled at the diversity of marine life.

AUGUST
SUMMER OF SUCCESS
31 young adults gained valuable skills, developed professional work habits, and showed impressive growth both personally and professionally through funding received from the Westchester Putnam Workforce Development Board.
The youth were placed at various worksites across Westchester County, including our summer camp program, The Office of State Senator Shelley B. Mayer, The Enclave at Rye, Port Chester - Rye Brook Public Library, STEER for Student Athletes, The Sharing Shelf, Port Chester Public Schools, and M Auto Detailing.

SEPTEMBER
A FRESH NEW LOOK
Our newly redesigned Carver Market is more welcoming than ever, offering a seamless and client-friendly shopping experience that makes accessing essentials easier and more convenient for everyone.
In September alone, we distributed an incredible 63,471 pounds of food to our Port Chester community.

OCTOBER
SEASONAL DELIGHTS AT OUR FARMER'S MARKET
On Saturday, October 5th, Carver Center hosted a Farmer's Market, in partnership with Food Web, an organization that connects food recovery organizations with food pantries to supplement their inventories of fresh fruit and vegetables, and facilitates transport and distribution of the produce. Food Web was started by seven local high school students: Eliza Goldban, Natalie Goldban, and Sam Goldban (Scarsdale High School); Jake Messafi and Ari Messafi (Blind Brook High School); and Julia Kroin and Teddy Kroin (Rye Country Day School).
781 registered Carver Market individuals visited the Farmer's Market, and a total of 6,944 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables was distributed in two hours!

NOVEMBER
WE WERE GRATEFUL THIS THANKSGIVING

Carver Center's Annual Thanksgiving Distribution, which was generously supported by the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation, led by Alex Cohen, was able to provide 800 households with all the trimmings for a joyous holiday meal.
Thanks to all of our volunteers and hardworking Carver Staff who made this event a wonderful success for our community.
69,600 pounds of food was distributed!
