“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD...”

Registration & Academic Services and First-Year Advising

Registration & Academic Services (RAS) is here to serve students by helping with registration, evaluating prior college credit, processing major changes, reviewing graduation applications, and offering clarity on academic policies and procedures. RAS works with all students during their time at IWU from day one to graduation.

If you have a First-Year student at IWU, including transfer students, they have the benefit of a First-Year Academic Advisor. A First-Year Advisor is a dedicated professional who helps students transition into IWU and navigate their first year. They support students by answering questions and connecting them to other important resources and support systems across campus. The First-Year Advising model is built on best practices and research to help students thrive in college.

Learn more about our First-Year Advisors here

A few good pieces to confirm with your student:

1.      Are they checking their IWU email address each day?

2.     Have they responded to their First-Year Advisors email "Are You in the Right Classes?" This email seeks to confirm any previous college credits and that they are set up for success this semester.

3.     Have they sent all previous college transcripts and AP scores to IWU? If not, have them sent from the institution to admissionsforms@indwes.edu.
