Celebrating 30 Years of the Jingle Bell Run, Walk, and Wheel
We are thrilled to announce that the 30th Annual Jingle Bell Run, Walk, and Wheel was a huge success! Despite the rain, over 400 participants joined us in their festive gear, and together we celebrated the legacy of the late Bob Blair, who started this tradition 30 years ago. Bob’s family was once again with us to hand out medals and share in the festivities, keeping his spirit alive in our community. A heartfelt thank you to our friends at Ken Knapp Ford for hosting the event and for their continued support, as well as to Tony DeSantis, Janell Violet, and Natalie Kristy for their hard work in making the event a success. We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to all of our wonderful sponsors, whose generosity helped make this event possible. A big thank you to our very own Dan Martynse, who earned the Bob Blair “Top Pledge” award by raising an incredible $1,075, and to Deanna Glover, who was the next top individual fundraiser, raising $933. Congratulations to the fundraising team “Our Tribe,” including Catherine Deslippe, Jodie Jane, and Sherrie Barris, who raised the highest team amount of $463. Finally, a special congratulations to Tony Butler for being the Top Finishing Wheeler! Your enthusiasm, support, and contributions helped make this 30th anniversary one to remember—thank you all for your incredible generosity!

As the holiday season fast approaches, we will be surrounded by holiday sights, sounds and smells across the region. Memories of seasons past will fill our minds.
As a community, this time of year gives us the opportunity to accept others as we find them and to embrace our similarities and our differences. Open minds open hearts. 💕
Others also reflect on the importance of 'community' and of 'acceptance'.
At the age of 98; well-known American actor, Dick Van Dyke, recently stated the following:
“As long as there is ONE voice left to say 'Welcome!' to strangers, ONE hand outstretched to say, 'Enter and share', and ONE mind remaining to think a thought of warmth and friendship; then there is still hope for humanity.”
