Co-host an Event at The Gunrock

The Gunrock is looking for partners to co-host social events that are fun, engaging and lively from Fall 2024 through Spring 2025. Some examples of events we offer are trivia nights, open mic nights, bingo, game nights, video game tournaments, art shows and more! Sudwerk Brewing Co. will be hosting Trivia Night on November 15 from 3-6 pm.

Aggie Fresh

It is with great excitement that the AB540 and Undocumented Student Center introduce you to Aggie Fresh—a CalFresh equivalent program that expands eligibility to include students who are undocumented and those who are ineligible for CalFresh for reasons other than income. Aggie Fresh is a program that provides up to $291/month to help students with groceries!

Reduce Waste

The SHDS Sustainability team conducted the Fall Quarter Waste Studies where we measured how much post-consumer edible food waste was produced during peak meal periods. As part of our Sustainability goals, guided by the University of California Sustainable Practices Policy, we are actively finding ways to reduce food waste. Some of our actions include:

Edible food recovery program through the Food Recovery Network that donates surplus edible food to campus and community partners
Composts pre- and post-consumer food waste
Quarterly waste studies
Education on food waste
