A special thank you to our 2023-2024 Platinum Sponsor:

President's Message

Happy Summer and hope you can stay cool inside or outside. I would like to Thank you the membership for providing me the opportunity to serve on the State board this past year. Mostly what I took away from my experience serving was a greater awareness of how many people over the years had served in our Association behind the scenes that created the opportunities for our Association today! I’m excited to see so many emerging leaders and the willingness of so many individuals willing to lend their time and talent for the benefit of others. I believe this process helps us all grow together and achieve beyond what our individual efforts might display were we trying to do this one off on our own. All this learning is applicable in our

daily lives and businesses.

I would like to thank Rhonda Bartholomew and Terri Trevino along with others from Idaho that attended Capital conference in June.

A special mention regarding Robert Tierney our Region 7 Regional Vice President who has been instrumental in putting together the upcoming Region 7 leadership training August 11-13th at the Coeur d Alene Resort, Coeur d Alene, Idaho. If you haven’t yet registered and need the registration information, email: iahu@gmail.com or robert.tierney@onedigital.com

Another couple of individuals I would like to mention, and their work this past board year are Steve Moore with Blue Cross of Idaho and Malia Rogers-now State Secretary, who have been our professional development chairs. Ever wonder how we can show up to a meeting, sign a form and like magic we get CE. I can assure you there is nothing magical about it, it takes work, dedication and understanding what is needed to get content approved. These are the

type of individuals on your state board who serve and are helping influence not only in our lives but the lives of Idahoan’s.

I would like to also Thank this previous year’s chapter Presidents, most recent Past Presidents Nathan Semons and Guy Stubbs and board for their dedication, professionalism, creativity, humor, and willingness to jump in and help. Looking forward to the momentous year under the leadership team that Stacie Anthony our current President has put together for 2024-2025.

On a final note, I would like to thank our State Sponsors and membership for your continued support of our Association, industry and serving Idahoans with their health insurance needs. If you know someone that might be interested in becoming a member or renewing a past membership, that can be done here: https://nabip.org/membership/join-now If you have an interest in getting involved, a great place to start is at your local chapter. Please reach out to

your local chapter or State contact if you are interested in serving.

Respectfully,

Ernie C Kroll

Chapter News

As my tenure as the president of the Treasure Valley Chapter of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals comes to a close, I find myself reflecting deeply on the incredible journey we have shared together over the past year. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve such a dedicated and passionate group of professionals who are truly the backbone of our industry.

First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your unwavering support, commitment, and enthusiasm. Without your active participation and invaluable contributions, our chapter would not have achieved the successes we have enjoyed. From organizing and attending insightful presentations to fostering meaningful networking opportunities, together, we have strengthened our

community and elevated the standard of excellence in our field.

Thanks to your support and donations over the past year we accomplished many things. We were able to donate school supplies to many schools throughout the Treasure Valley. We held a Golf Tournament, Christmas Auction, and Top Golf Event where we raised funds for several charities and delivered checks in the amount of $23,370 (which doesn’t include members direct donations) to charities including the Idaho Crisis & Suicide Hotline & City Light. We held a well-attended Community Health Insurance Awareness Day event in conjunction Live After Five in Downtown Boise. Our Chapter earned NABIP’s Prestigious Gold Status, The Robert W. Osler Professional Development Award (For outstanding achievement in promoting health insurance educational activities). We earned the Pacesetter Award. We also earned the Local

Website Award presented to Local Chapters with the most effective and easily used

websites!

I am especially grateful to the Board, all Committee Members, and our Executive Assistant--Sebrina Chevalier-Koehler, who have worked tirelessly alongside me. Your dedication and teamwork have been nothing short of inspiring, and it has been a pleasure collaborating with such talented individuals who share a common vision for our profession.

As I pass the baton to our incoming president Marcia Benton, I am confident that our chapter will continue to thrive and grow under her capable leadership. Let us extend our full support and cooperation to ensure a seamless transition and continued prosperity for the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals-Treasure Valley Chapter.

In parting, I leave you with a quote that has guided me throughout my term: "Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much." – Helen Keller

All ships truly do rise with the tide!

Thank you once again for the privilege of serving as your president. It has been an honor that I will forever cherish. I look forward to seeing our chapter's continued success in the future.

Make it a great day!

Respectfully,

Knute M. Kleven
