The New Cooperative Grants Office

CEAS, A&S, and the OoR have launched a Cooperative Grants Office (CGO) to centralize pre-award services for both colleges. Beginning September 1st, the CGO began enhancing support for complex proposals, streamlining workflows, and providing coordinated coverage during staff absences.

Introducing UCFigshare

UCFigshare is a new data repository for NIH-sponsored UC researchers, promoting compliant scientific data sharing. Aligned with FAIR data principles, it is a collaboration between the Office of Research, UC Libraries, and DTS, offering a platform for accessible and interoperable data sharing.

Exception Process for EXC Policy Change - Deadline Approaching

University Policy has been updated to simplify extra compensation rules for 2-semester faculty. To mitigate the impact, a one-time exception for AY 2024-2025 is available for eligible projects. Faculty must submit exception requests using this form by October 31st.

New Outside Activity Report System

UC will transition to a new Outside Activity Reporting (OAR) system in November, replacing the current system. Faculty and staff in the College of Medicine will be the first to submit disclosures. Training sessions for the new system will be offered.
