Eye Catching Coral Frags!

Pink Boobies Chalice $100 ~ $75! | This true wonder is a large polyp stony coral (LPS) and exhibits an exhilarating combination yellow-green eyes offset by the pink flesh. They are typically heavily tissued fleshy corals that create a dramatic effect with their amazing texturing. They seem to prefer horizontal placement and exhibit both encrusting and plating growth patterns. Chalice are typically slow growing and care is straight forward in well maintained systems. Beware that some specimens may also produce sweeper tentacles at night. The Pink Boobies Chalice is a intermediate care level II coral and does best with dim lighting and moderate water flow.
True Blue Xenia $60 ~ $45! | This is the soft coral sensation featured on Reef Builders which is a relative newcomer to the hobby. Often referred to and mistaken as “Blue Xenia” due to its uncanny resemblance to Xenia. Unlike invasive Xenia specia this is a slow grower and does not pulse. This encrusting soft coral forms a brown stalk offset by the true blue tentacles. This is truly a one of a kind coral in the reef hobby. The True Blue Xenia is a moderate care level 3 coral which requires moderate lighting and medium flow.
Grafted Montipora $65 ~ 48.75! | This is a one of the easier small polyp stony (SPS) corals to keep in the reef aquarium. Montipora capricornus are typically available in Red, Green, or Purple. This variety is bright red and green and forms large scrolling leafy plates. Plating montiporas look most spectacular when grouped together creating a whirl of shapes and color. Compared to the other color morphs we carry this color morph seems to be the fastest growing. The Grafted Montipora Capricornis is a skilled care level four coral which requires intense lighting and medium to turbulent water flow.
Candelabra Gorgonian $60 ~ $45! | There is NO better way to break up an aquascape than with a couple well placed Gorgonians. I prefer the Purple varieties like the Purple Flatblade, Plume, or Frilly. My favorite is the rare Purple Candelabra. There are two basic types of Gorgonians the photosynthetic (which we carry) and the non-photosynthetic. Photosynthetic Gorgonians are very hardy if placed in good water flow preventing algae & cyanobacteria growth on the coral which would cause rapid deterioration. The Purple Candelabra Gorgonian is a moderate care level II coral and does best with medium lighting and moderate to swift water flow

Gold Syno Nigrita $30 ~ 20% OFF 24! | The Gold Synodontis Nigrita, scientifically known as Synodontis nigrita, is a striking, golden-hued catfish native to the rivers and lakes of West and Central Africa. This hardy species typically grows to about 6-8 inches in length and is known for its distinctive, elongated pectoral fins and attractive coloration. Gold Synodontis Nigrita is an omnivore, feeding on a variety of foods such as sinking pellets, algae wafers, and live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp. It is generally a peaceful fish but may show mild territorial behavior, so a tank with ample hiding spots like rocks, driftwood, and plants is beneficial. This species thrives in water temperatures of 72-82°F, with slightly alkaline to neutral pH levels. Regular water changes and a spacious tank of at least 50 gallons will help keep them healthy and provide them with enough room to swim and explore.

Banjo Catfish $10 ~ 20% OFF $8! | The Banjo Catfish, scientifically known as Bunocephalus coracoideus, is a unique freshwater fish native to the slow-moving rivers and streams of South America, especially in the Amazon Basin. This catfish gets its name from its flat, elongated body shape that resembles a banjo, providing excellent camouflage on sandy or muddy substrates. Banjo Catfish typically grow to about 4-6 inches in length and are nocturnal, spending much of their time hidden during the day. They are omnivorous and enjoy a diet of sinking pellets, bloodworms, and small invertebrates. To care for them, a peaceful community tank with soft, sandy substrate and hiding spots like caves or driftwood is ideal. They thrive in water temperatures between 72-82°F and prefer low to moderate lighting to mimic their natural habitat, making them a great choice for tanks with subdued lighting.

EB Texas Cichlid $12 ~ 20% OFF $9.60! | The Electric Blue Texas Cichlid, scientifically known as Herichthys cyanoguttatus, is a striking freshwater fish originally found in the rivers of Texas and northeastern Mexico. Known for its vibrant blue coloration with sparkling iridescent spots, this fish can grow up to 12 inches in length, making it a bold and beautiful centerpiece in large aquariums. Electric Blue Texas Cichlids are omnivores and do well on a diet of high-quality pellets, as well as live or frozen foods like bloodworms and shrimp. They are territorial and can be aggressive, so it’s best to house them in a spacious tank, ideally 75 gallons or larger, with robust, similarly-sized tank mates. To care for them, maintain water temperatures between 72-82°F, provide plenty of hiding spots with rocks and driftwood, and ensure strong filtration to manage their waste. Regular water changes and stable water conditions are essential for keeping these cichlids healthy and thriving.
Balloon Jewel Cichlid $25 ~ 20% OFF $20! | The Balloon Jewel Cichlid, a variation of Hemichromis bimaculatus, originates from West Africa's rivers and lakes, where it thrives in warm, slow-moving waters. This fish typically grows up to 4 inches, smaller than the standard Jewel Cichlid, due to its distinctive, compact "balloon" body shape. Known for their vibrant red and orange coloration with iridescent blue spots, Balloon Jewel Cichlids make a striking addition to an aquarium. They are omnivores and enjoy a varied diet of flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp. Balloon Jewel Cichlids are territorial, especially during breeding, so it's best to keep them in a spacious tank with hiding spots like rocks and plants to reduce aggression. To care for them, maintain water temperatures between 74-82°F, monitor water quality closely, and consider keeping them with similarly sized, robust tank mates to minimize conflicts.
