ISR Begins Preparations for Centennial Celebrations


Throughout 2025 and 2026, the International Society of Radiology will celebrate its 100th year anniversary. Thanks to the commitment and work of luminaries like Antoine Béclère and many others, an international effort to assemble physicians from around the world to share their experience in using Roentgens new ray to improve health. That first Congress was held in London in 1925, and although records from the Congress did not survive, that gathering of international experts is considered to represent the beginnings of the International Society of Radiology.

Mexican Federation of Radiology and Imaging Presents Their Open Access Journal JMeXFRI


Journal of the Mexican Federation of Radiology and Imaging (JMeXFRI) is the official journal of the Mexican Federation of Radiology and Imaging. JMeXFRI publishes original research from Mexico and around the world, covering advances in Diagnosis and Therapy in Radiology.



JMeXFRI is published in American English with 4 quarterly issues per year in electronic version, which is open access at www.jmexfri.com. The types of publications included in JMeXFRI are: Original Articles, Pictorial Essays, Technical Notes, Editorials, Reviews, Images in Radiology, and Case Reports. JMeXFRI offers optimal quality publications with global impact through the website. This year, JMeXFRI was indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and Information Matrix for Journal Analysis (MIAR).

White House Africa Cancer Care Forum


The Biden Cancer Moonshot hosted the White House Africa Cancer Forum—convening ten African nations to assess national priorities in cancer care as part of their comprehensive national strategy for improving health care systems and population health outcomes.

Prognostic Value of 18F-FDG PET/CT Assessment After Radiotherapy of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Anus in Patients from the National Multicentric Cohort FFCD-ANABASE



This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of 18F-FDG PET/CT qualitative assessment in terms of recurrence-free survival (RFS), colostomy-free survival (CFS), and overall survival (OS) after radiation therapy (RT) of squamous cell carcinoma of the anus (SCCA). Secondary objectives were to evaluate the prognostic value of baseline and posttherapeutic quantitative 18F-FDG PET/CT parameters in terms of RFS, CFS, and OS.
