City Hosts Summer Internship Program

This summer, staff welcomed a new group of college interns assigned to various divisions. Now in its third year, the internship program offers firsthand experience in the public sector. The photos above capture a tour introducing the interns to different departments and their roles in serving the community.

New Santa Clara County Fire Department Headquarters

The Santa Clara County Fire Department is moving to a new administrative headquarters in Campbell (1315 Dell Avenue) effective Monday, August 5. Customers doing business with the Department are encouraged to update their records. All phone numbers will remain the same.

Nomination Period Underway for '24 Election Candidates

Four residents have filed to run for City Council. The nomination period remains open through Friday, August 9, at 5 PM. Residents interested in running for local office can pull nomination papers by appointment with the City Clerk. Appointments are held at City Hall during regular business hours.

You're Invited: City Event to Take Families 'Under the Sea'

Families of all ages are invited to an ocean-themed Family Fun Days on Saturday, August 10, from 10 AM-1 PM. Parks & Recreation and the Los Altos Library are hosting a morning full of games, crafts, movies, and read alouds. This event is free to the public; no registration is required.

You're Invited: Fine Art in the Park Happening Soon

The 49th annual Fine Art in the Park takes place Saturday, August 10-Sunday, August 11, from 10 AM-5:30 PM at Lincoln Park. Parking will be limited downtown: biking, walking, or carpooling is encouraged. Options for parking are available throughout downtown and the Civic Center.
