End-of-Year Celebration

On Tuesday, December 3rd, at Tanoan Country Club, the USTA Southwest Section Staff and Northern New Mexico Regional Advisory Council rolled out the red carpet to honor those with exceptional sportsmanship and leadership. League captains, court monitors, adult & junior players, and middle school & high school coaches were recognized. The evening included delicious food, awards, and holiday spirit. Cheers to 2025!

Tier 1 Hard Court Nationals Results

In October, the Tier 1 Hard Court Nationals took place in Palm Desert, California. Manola Colter participated in the Women's 55 Division and made it to the finals. She obtained the USTA Silver Ball for this event.

Manola has competed in numerous national events and has a total of 14 USTA Balls - 4 Gold, 7 Silver, and 3 Bronze.

While Manola lives in New Mexico, she is also a Chilean citizen. In Portugal in August 2025, she will participate in the Senior World Cup (55 Age Division) with the Chilean team.

L7: Green Chile Super Set #7 Results

On Saturday, December 7th, the final Junior L7 of the year took place at the Albuquerque Academy Racquet Center. It was a beautiful but brisk day for tennis in December. Each player received an abundance of match play. As we continue to say, the sportsmanship with these players is superb!

Turkey Trot Results

On Sunday, November 10th, the first event (Turkey Trot) of the 2024-2025 Becky Lee Rookie Circuit took place at Sierra Vista West Tennis Complex. It was a beautiful fall day with five players participating in the tournament. Competitive matches were played and Mateo Apodaca took home the gold with Angel Perales taking home the silver.
